Henriksen Balance It All Review Kingteeuhh

** THIS POST MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS.

Originally I received the Balance It All skin care collection from Ole Henriksen from an Influenster campaign maybe in early March 2017, and I think I was able to use the whole collection ONCE before I had to part with 2/3 of it tragically at Dulles airport. But that is another story for another day (that I had hoped to be able to link in this post but, #gradschool). Anyways, that one experience was so good, I decided to throw caution to the wind and go buy the collection so I could provide you all with a proper review of the whole collection. That is commitment! And yes, it hurt to shell out coins for stuff I originally received for free for review purposes but I was also able to purchase the travel sized versions of all the products in a set so I wouldn’t have to throw away product again in order to make a flight. If it wasn’t already clear, this collection is geared toward us oily gals–it claims to help keep them in check. Who hates being a Shine Queen or constantly dabbing your face throughout the night?

Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser

Ole Henriksen Cleanser Review Kingteeuhh

I absolutely love this cleanser! It leaves your face feeling cleansed but not stripped completely of moisture. It has this creamy lather that leaves my face feeling very soft and nourished after each use. If nothing else, it definitely delivers on its name, “Finding Your Balance Oil Control,” by reducing oils.

Balancing Force Oil Control Toner

Ole Henriksen Kingteeuhh Review Toner

Oddly enough aside from a good face mask, toning is probably my favorite part of my skin care routine. Unfortunately, I don’t have a particularly special reason for this, it is just one of those things. Overall I enjoyed this Balancing Force Oil Control Toner and I found that it does deliver on absorbing excess oil. The one thing I do think is worth mentioning is to be careful using it around the eye area. It has sort of a peppermint/tea tree oil kinda smell that definitely will sting if you get too close to the eyes. (I made that mistake the first time). Like most other toners you apply to a clean face using a cotton ball or pad in circular motions.

Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator

Ole Henriksen Review Kingteeuhh

Finally the last product in this set is the Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator, which is a moisturizer. I’m still on the fence about this one. The formula is definitely lightweight, but I’m not totally sold on whether or not it helps control excess oils, is  truly mattifying, or reduces the appearance of pores–I think I need to use it a few more times. I will say it does feel great on my face, but I haven’t seen a noticeable improvement in excess oil control. This isn’t a totally fail if you’re going to apply makeup as you’d probably use a magnifying primer to start. However, if you’re going make-up free, this is where I am wondering how good it does at controlling oils. This could also be something that works (or works better) as a result of habit and not isolated use. Time will tell.

Overall

Overall, I really love this Balance It All collection by Ole Henriksen, it delivers well on most of its claims and I love that they offer a complete travel sized collection for women on the go like myself. There’s nothing worse than feeling like you have to compromise your skin care just because you’re not at home. This was my first time trying any Ole Henriksen products and I must say it was a great first experience. From the looks of their website, they seem to offer some great skin care solutions. Have you tried any products from Ole Henriksen? From the Balance it All collection? Let me know your thoughts in the comments section!
